Crustas

Savoy-Version:
Fill sugar-rimmed wine glass with ice and add the spiral of half a lemon. Stir all ingredients well and strain in to glass.

Hört sich einigermaßen einfach an. Gibt es nicht spezielle Spiralschneider für Zitrusschalen?

Jerry-Thomas-Version:
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain in to a sugar-rimmed wine glass. Garnish with a large strip of lemon peel looped around the top of the glass.

Was genau meint Hr. Thomas mit "Looped around the top of the glass"? Wie groß muss das Stück Zitronenschale sein?

Diffordsguide-Version:
The trick is to find a lemon or a small orange. I favour lemon, which fits into a small wineglass tightly enough to act as a watertight extension to the glass. Cut off both ends of the fruit and carefully remove the pulp to leave a barrel-shaped shell of skin. Place in the top of the glass - wineglasses tend to curve in on themselves and this helps retain the fruit. Wet the edge of the glass and exposed fruit shell with sugar syrup and dip in caster sugar to frost the edge of both peel and glass. Leave for a couple of hours to form hard crust.
